Many journals the Library subscribes to are electronic journals (i.e., journals available over the internet) or electronic editions of print journals. Some electronic journals (ejournals) are freely available; others have to be licensed. These can usually only be accessed on the TU Wien campus, or or by students and staff of the TU Wien off campus via Web VPN.
Searching for e-Journals:
All e-journals titles subscribed to by the Library can be accessed throughCatalogPlus , through the Electronic Journals Library (Elektronische Zeitschriftenbibliothek, EZB), or directly via the publisher's homepage.
Most e-journals, and a large number of articles in e-journals, can be searched on CatalogPlus.
Refine your CatalogPlus search result by clicking Medium > E-Journal or Medium > Article in the left frame.
In the Electronic Journals Library (Elektronische Zeitschriftenbibliothek, EZB) you will find e-Journals titles with license information, but no articles.
In the EZB, the availability of full text access is indicated by different colours according to the license situation:
Free access to full text articles
Access to full text articles is granted to users of the TU Wien on the basis of a subscription.
No access to full texts as the TU Wien does not have a current subscription to this journal. However, tables of contents and abstracts are generally available free of charge.
The TU Wien has no continuous subscription on the journal. Therefore, only some of the published volumes are accessible as full texts.
If you click on the blue "info" button, you will find information on which volumes of a journal ghe TU Wien has subscribed to.
