The Urban Design Library is situated within the Institute of Urban Design and Landscape Architecture, Department of Urban Design.
Collection
The collection consists of around 35.000 items. The urban design department's current journals are also included in the collection, as well as a selection of theses written at the institute.
Around 8000 items (including journals) are available at the Urban Design Library's Karlsplatz reading room.
Part of the collection is housed in closed stack rooms at other addresses. Items from "Magazin G" and "Magazin Z" stacks can be requested on the online catalogue. Requested items will be fetched three times a week and are issued at the Urban Design Library on the following day.
Journals from "Magazin G" and "Magazin Z" stacks are not accessible at present!

In urgent cases, the urban design library can be used outside these opening hours by appointment.
In September, appointments outside the opening hours are not possible.
